Ball pit balls: sizes, colours and how many you need

All our ball pit balls are 7cm, the standard size for home ball pits and UK soft play centres. They're made from soft, flexible plastic, free from BPA and phthalates, and too big to fit in a small child's mouth. Choose single colours or ready-made mixes, in packs from 25 up to 500, or buy by the box.

How many ball pit balls do I need?

Roughly 3.3 balls per litre. In practice:

Pit 20cm deep 30cm deep
90cm round 450 650
90 × 90cm square 550 800
120 × 120cm square 950 1,450

The full ball pit size chart covers every common size.

Buying ball pit balls in bulk

For a full pit, a nursery or a soft play centre, our factory boxes of 750 balls are the cheapest option: 19p a ball for one box, falling to 16.5p a ball for 14 boxes or more, with UK delivery included. See prices and colours on the bulk ball pit balls page, or ask about trade pricing for larger orders.

Which colours look best?

Pastel mixes of white, pearl, grey and pink or mint are the most popular for living rooms and nurseries. Rainbow mixes suit soft play centres and sensory rooms. Mixing a few clear or pearl balls in lifts any colour scheme.
